Minister of Culture Meets Chair of Bahrain’s Shaikh Ebrahim Center to Discuss Cultural Heritage Preservation

Dr. Gihan Zaki, Minister of Culture, received this morning H.E. Sheikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research in the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting addressed a number of topics related to preserving cultural heritage, protecting and reviving historic buildings, as well as reviewing pioneering experiences in this field.

During the meeting, Sheikha Mai reviewed the efforts of the Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research in the field of cultural heritage preservation and historic building conservation. She highlighted the center's successes in repurposing heritage sites and transforming them into vibrant centers for cultural and creative life, thereby contributing to raising awareness of the value of heritage and its role in sustainable cultural development.

The meeting witnessed an exchange of visions on best practices and inspiring experiences in preserving cultural heritage and reviving historic buildings.
