The makeup brand Milani is now involved in Hollywood star Johnny Depp’s and his ex-wife Amber Heard's ongoing defamation trial.

The brand has come to correct Heard's timeline after her team made a claim about its Cosmetics‘ “All In One Correcting Kit”.

In his opening statements, Heard’s lawyer J. Ben Rottenborn, appeared before the court with the “All In One Correcting Kit” in hand and claimed the actress used the creamy concealer and color-correcting kit to hide her bruises during her alleged physically and mentally abusive relationship with Depp.

However, Heard filed for porce from Depp in 2016, before Milani Cosmetics says the brand launched that product.

Milani Cosmetics responded to the claim with a TikTok. “You asked us… let the record show that our Correcting Kit launched in 2017,” the brand captioned the video.

The footage highlighted that Heard’s alleged abuse at the hands of Depp began around 2014 and that the couple was porced in 2016, before the release of the kit.

The trial kicked off on April 11 and is set to continue for the next six weeks in the Washington, D.C.-adjacent jurisdiction. It will broadcast on Court TV.

It will take place from Monday to Thursday and will be off on Fridays. There also will be a break from May 9-12 as Judge Azcarate attends a previously scheduled judicial conference.

Depp and Heard met on the set of "The Rum Diary" in 2009, married in 2015, and went on to be embroiled in a contentious split for months.

The actress filed for porce from her ex-husband in May 2016, citing irreconcilable differences. She was later granted a temporary restraining order against her ex-husband after claiming he physically attacked her.

Depp is suing Heard for $50 million in a Fairfax County, Virginia court over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed she wrote about her experience with domestic abuse.

Despite the actor was not referred to by name in her piece, his attorneys argue it's clear she was referring to the actor and it has caused a "significant impact on Mr. Depp's family and his ability to work."

In the years prior to its publishing, Heard had alleged Depp bruised her face after throwing a phone at her in their Los Angeles home. Depp denied the allegation and was not charged with any crime.

Heard is counter-suing her ex-husband for $100 million.
