The Jackson 5 have found their harmony once again for Lionsgate and Universal's upcoming biopic "Michael", a new biopic on the life of music icon Michael Jackson that hits theaters in 2025.

The movie is hails from Antoine Fuqua and is currently in production.

It features the late King of Pop’s nephew Jaafar Jackson in his first major role and 9-year-old Juliano Krue Valdi as the younger Michael.

The first photo from was unveiled last February, showing Jackson’s nephew as the King of Pop as he performs “Man in the Mirror” from the legendary 1992-93 Dangerous World Tour.

The movie also stars Oscar-nominee Colman Domingo as the family patriarch Joe Jackson, Nia Long as mother Katherine Jackson, and Miles Teller as lawyer John Branca.

Moreover, the eight actors who will play Jackson’s four brothers — who come together to form the massively popular singing group the Jackson 5 — are portrayed by: Jamal R. Henderson plays Jermaine Jackson in the film’s later years, while Jayden Harville plays the younger version. Tre Horton and Jaylen Lyndon Hunter share the role of Marlon Jackson; Rhyan Hill and Judah Edwards are Tito; and Joseph David-Jones and Nathaniel Logan McIntyre play the elder and younger versions of Jackie Jackson, respectively.

Produced by “Bohemian Rhapsody’s” Graham King and scripted by John Logan, the official synopsis reads: “‘Michael’ will bring audiences a riveting and honest portrayal of the brilliant yet complicated man who became the King of Pop. The film presents his triumphs and tragedies on an epic, cinematic scale — from his human side and personal struggles to his undeniable creative genius, exemplified by his most iconic performances. As never before, audiences will experience an inside look into one of the most influential, trailblazing artists the world has ever known.”

John Branca and John McClain, the co-executors of Michael Jackson‘s estate, will also produce the pic.

“Michael” is slotting into the date previously held by “The Exorcist: Deceiver,” which was removed from Universal’s upcoming theatrical schedule along with news that director David Gordon Green had exited the project. It was originally slated for April 18, 2025, but has been put on hold indefinitely as Universal and Blumhouse begin the search for a new director.

Lionsgate is distributing the movie stateside and in Japan, while Universal has it in all offshore territories.
