Legendary metal group Metallica will perform in Saudi Arabia for the first time in December.

The metal behemoths will headline the opening night of the three-day MDLBEAST Soundstorm music festival in Riyadh on December 14.

Chris Brown, DJ David Guetta, and J Balvin will also headline the opening night of the three-day festival.

As foreshadowed by their released setlist, the band will present several of their beloved tracks like "For Whom the Bell Tolls", "The Unforgiven", "One", and "Enter Sandman".

Metallica will also present songs from their latest album "72 Seasons", including the title track and "If Darkness Had a Son".

Metallica announced the concert on Facebook, saying: "We’re not done with 2023 just yet, as an amazing opportunity has just come our way to perform at a major festival that we have never played in a part of the world we rarely get to visit," "We’re excited to announce that on Thursday, December 14 we’ll be the first hard rock band to ever play at MDLBeast’s Soundstorm Festival in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.”

The festival also features a list of eclectic artists making their way to the kingdom, ranging from R&B stars Pharrell Williams, and Her, DJs Tiesto as well as pop acts Black Eyed Peas and Anne-Marie.

Soundstorm festival runs from December 14 to 16 in Riyadh. Tickets, starting at 169 Saudi riyals ($45), are available at www.mdlbeast.com
