The release date for "Riverdale" star Madelaine Petsch and "Aladdin" actor Mena Massoud's new Christmas movie "Hotel for the Holidays" has been revealed.
The festive movie, which is the first to arrive from Amazon's Freevee service, will be released on Friday, December 2.
"Hotel for the Holidays" revolves around the staff and guests at the charming Hotel Fontaine in New York City during Christmastime.
Petsch stars as Georgia, an ambitious young woman and the manager of the high-end hotel that attracts guests of all kinds – including heartbroken singles, an infamous pop star, and a European ex-prince who recently abdicated his throne – all looking to escape from their everyday lives and come to the hotel as a sanctuary over the holidays.
Georgia finds her affections torn between the ex-prince (played by Max Lloyd-Jones) and the hotel chef Luke (Massoud).
Alongside Petsch and Massoud, the cast also includes Kayleigh Shikanai, Jami Belushi, Neil Crone, and Jayne Eastwood.
Ron Oliver directs the project from a script penned by Maggie Lane and Margarita Matthews.
Oliver is also serving as an executive producer alongside Lorenzo Nardini, Amy Krell, David Anselmo, Susie Belzberg Krevoy, Ernie Barbarash, and Brad Krevoy.
Krevoy's Motion Picture Corporation of America is producing the movie.
The company behind Netflix Christmas staples "Holiday in the Wild" with Rob Lowe and Kristen Davis, the "Princess Switch" trilogy with Vanessa Hudgens, and this year's "Falling for Christmas" starring Lindsay Lohan.
Petsch is perhaps best known for her iconic role in The CW's "Riverdale", where she has played the role of Cheryl Blossom for the past seven seasons.
Massoud rose to prominence by playing the title role in Disney's live-action adaptation of "Aladdin".
