Gibson is also attached to star in the John Wick spin-off prequel series, “The Continental”.

The "Braveheart" actor will play a new character called Cormac, though no further details are available about his character.

The new prequel series will explore the John Wick universe 40 years prior to where the movie franchise began.

The series marks Gibson’s first regular television role in his career. He previously appeared in the Australian series “The Sullivans” in the 1970s and has made occasional appearances on shows since.

The movie centers around an ex-hacker that is forced to break into high-level banking institutions by an anonymous man who planted a bomb under his chair at his office.

Gibson will play a man who must try to penetrate the booby-trapped building to get a man (played by Kevin Dillon) off the seat.
