The Russian Cultural Center in Cairo, in collaboration with the Association of Graduates from Russian and Soviet Universities, is hosting a seminar with the Russian delegation of writers and critics participating in the Cairo International Book Fair.
The seminar will take place at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, January 24, at the seminar hall of the center in Dokki. It will be attended by several notable figures, including:
Vladimir Beliakov: A Doctor of Historical Sciences and a professor at the Institute of Oriental Studies. He is the editor-in-chief of the "Archives of the East" magazine and has authored several works on the history of Egyptian-Russian relations, Dmitry Stryshnev: A member of the Union of Russian Writers and an expert on Middle Eastern affairs. Several of his novels have been translated into Arabic, Kirill Kurtchagin: A literary critic specializing in literary sciences and literary studies, Yekaterina Subol: A writer for the "Youth Literature" magazine, Afanasy Mamidov: A journalist and literary critic, and Marina Moskvina: An author.
The meeting will be moderated by Sherif Gad, the head of cultural activities and the president of the Graduates' Association.
Murad Gatin, the director of Russian cultural centers in Egypt, noted that Wednesday's meeting would provide an opportunity to discover the latest creations of Russian writers and important literary releases that have emerged in Russia recently.
He welcomed the participation of Egyptian writers and intellectuals to interact with their Russian counterparts in the delegation.
It's worth mentioning that the Russian delegation of writers and critics is participating in the Cairo International Book Fair under the organization of the "Rutinia" publishing house, with the supervision of Anna Chuyenkova and support from the Ministry of Digital Transformation and Communications and Media in the Russian Federation.
