The Muslim Council of Elders will be participating at the 33rd edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair 2024, which is held from April 29 to May 5, 2024. The participation is part of the Council's mission to promote peace, strengthen the values of dialogue and tolerance, and build bridges of cooperation among people of different races and beliefs.
The pavilion of the Muslim Council of Elders at the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair presents over 220 diverse publications in 5 languages, addressing prominent cultural and intellectual issues. Additionally, it offers a number of seminars, activities, and events discussing topics such as dialogue, tolerance, coexistence, youth, and peacebuilding.
Among the notable publications presented by the Council during its participation in the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair are over 30 authored by His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar and Chairman of the Muslim Council of Elders which highlight the tolerance and richness of Islamic heritage, including titles such as; "Al Qawl Al Tayeb," "From My Old Notebooks," "Ahl Al-Sunnah wal-Jama'ah," "Insights into Imam Al-Ash'ari's Thought," "A Discussion on Ailments and Objectives," "Return to Faith," "A Word to the Youth," among others.
The Muslim Council of Elders' pavilion also includes significant publications such as ""Love in the Holy Quran" by Prince Ghazi bin Muhammad, a member of the Muslim Council of Elders, "The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path" by Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders, and the "Basis of Understanding from Thought and Language” by His Eminence Dr. Mustapha Benhamza, member of the Higher Scientific Council of Al-Azhar and the Muslim Council of Elders and President of the Ulema Council of Oujda.
Furthermore, the pavilion features a number of new releases by Al Hokama Publishing for the year 2024, including the book "The West and Rediscovery of Islam: Approaches to Islam in Contemporary Western Thought" by Professor Tijani Boulaouali, "Identarian Peace Management in the Muslim World: Concepts, Underpinnings, and Mechanisms" by a group of researchers, and "Conceptualizing Peace During the European Renaissance," by Dr. Bennacer El Bouazzati.
