A chaotic scene unfolded in Italy after masked supporters invaded the pitch during a heated Serie C clash between Monopoli and Foggia.
The incident took place in the southeastern city of Monopoli, where tensions escalated as a group of visiting fans, many wearing masks and hats, rushed onto the field.
Players were forced to flee in panic, with some running toward the dressing rooms while others hid behind advertising boards to avoid confrontation.

The situation briefly resembled a chase, as the pitch descended into disorder.
Security personnel, including individuals in plain clothes, quickly entered the field in an effort to regain control and prevent violent clashes.
One of the intruders was restrained and handcuffed on the pitch in front of stunned spectators.
The referee suspended the match for around 10 minutes before play resumed. Monopoli maintained their lead, a factor that reportedly fueled the anger of the visiting supporters.
The incident highlights ongoing concerns about crowd violence in lower divisions of Italian football, particularly during high-tension derby matches.
