Egyptian rapper Marwan Moussa won three awards at the 8th edition of the All Africa Music Award (AFRIMA), which was held in the Senegalese capital, Dakar on Monday.
Moussa won awards for the best African Rapper, Breakthrough Artist of the Year, and Best Artist in African Hip-Hop.
The three awards came amongst a pool of strong competition with the continent’s biggest singers.
The competition also witnessed the nomination of other artists from Egypt such as Wegz, Cairokee, the Disco Misr, Ruby, Ahmed Saad, Ali Loka, and others.
Moussa began his career in 2017 and rose to fame in 2019 with his hit song “Nhayt El 3alam".
In 2020, Moussa was among the 50 most-streamed Arab singers on Anghami and the most-streamed artists in MENA on Deezer.
