Production on Marvel’s highly-anticipated movie “Thunderbolts” is back on track after multiple delays and casting changes.

One of the stars of the movie, Florence Pugh, shared the exciting update on the Marvel movie while speaking with Entertainment Tonight to promote her latest movie "Dune: Part Two".

"I feel so -- I mean -- honored that I’ve been able to basically do the most bizarre press tour for both movies [Dune: Part Two and Oppenheimer] at the same time and I've just started my next movie," Pugh said, referring to the anti-hero pic. "But I managed to squeeze this one in, so I feel very grateful that I've managed to juggle all of them at the same time."

“Thunderbolts” was initially set for a July 2025 release before being moved up to May 2, 2025. It was previously set for a December 2024 release before undergoing further release date changes.

The movie serves as the final installment of the MCU's Phase Five, following the July 2024 release of "Deadpool & Wolverine" and the February 2025 release of "Captain America: Brave New World".

Not much is known about the plot of the movie, but in the comics, the Thunderbolts are made up of villains, anti-heroes and reformed baddies — some of whom have already appeared within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

It is set to bring together the worlds of “Ant-Man and the Wasp”, “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier”, “Black Widow”, and the upcoming “Captain America” installment “New World Order”.

“Paper Towns” director Jake Schreier is helming the project, with “Beef” creator Lee Sung Jin penning the script from a first draft by “Black Widow” writer Eric Pearson.

“Thunderbolts” features Pugh as Yelena Belova, Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, Wyatt Russell as U.S. Agent, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Ola Kurylenko as Taskmaster, and Julia Louis-Dreyfus as Valentina Allegra de Fontaine.

Lewis Pullman has also been reportedly attached to play Sentry, taking over the role from Steven Yeun and Geraldine Viswanathan has also replaced Ayo Edebiri in a mystery role.

"Who knows what goes on behind the scenes, but I've always wanted to join the universe in whatever capacity, and this just came up. There's a lot of ... It was destiny," Viswanathan said in a recent interview with ComicBook. "Destiny called me on the phone and I picked up and I said, 'I'll be there.' Very excited."
