Malaysia announced today, Thursday, its full solidarity with Egypt in the face of the allegations and claims made by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu regarding the Philadelphi Corridor.
The Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed - in a statement today reported by the Bernama News Agency - that it strongly condemned Netanyahu's accusations.. saying that they are baseless and that they are provocative, irresponsible and unjustified.. stressing that Egypt has the right to reject all allegations made by the Israeli occupation in this regard.
These provocations were considered part of the Israeli occupation's attempts to continue the genocide against the Palestinians in the Gaza Strip, which has now expanded to several cities in the West Bank, leading to further loss of life and destruction.
She reiterated Malaysia's strong support for the efforts made by Egypt, Qatar and the United States for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip based on the three-phase plan proposed by US President Joe Biden and UN Security Council Resolution 2735, saying: "It is clear that a ceasefire agreement has not been possible so far due to the stubborn and aggressive stance of the Zionist regime that is constantly changing its rules."
