Egyptian actress, Malak, Ahmed Zaher's oldest daughter, has recently joined the cast of actor Hassan El Raddad's new TV series “Mohareb" (Warrior)‏.

The cast also includes Zaher, Maged El Masry, Ayten Amer, Sherry Adel, Mahmoud El-Bezzawy, Salwa Osman, Nermine El Fiky, Menna Fadali, Haggag Abdulazim, Nour Mahmoud, and more.

The series is scripted by Mohamed Sayed Bashir, directed by Sherry Adel, and produced by Ahmed El Sobky.

“Mohareb" sheds light on important social issues and reflects on the daily lives of the simple people of Egypt. It features El Raddad as Aziz Mohareb, a microbus driver of Upper Egypt origins, who is exposed to many challenges and problems.

In the series, Malak plays a social media influencer Randa, a villain's role for the first time in her career.

In a recent interview with Cairo News, Malak opened up about joining a show that co-starred her father, sharing: “My participation in the series came by pure coincidence, as the screenwriter Mohamed Sayed Bashir, offered me a role in the series, but I was hesitant for fear of being said that I was working in the series because of my father, however, the screenwriter of the series convinced me, especially after I read the script and the character, which I found completely different from any role I had presented before,”.

She added, “I'm excited about this character because I'm playing a villainous role for the first time in my life. This character is completely different from my character in reality. I found it very different from any role I had played before, so I agreed after I liked the character.”

"There are those who claim to be professionals and offer something through their work as 'influencers'. They do not provide any useful work, but rather their goal is to collect money,".

"Through the character that I embody in the work, which belongs to this type of pretentious and evil characters, some might believe that I'm attacking these people, but I'm not attacking all of them because there are good, important, and influential personalities that I appreciate them,” Malak continued.

“Mohareb" is set to screen during the Ramadan 2024 drama marathon.
