Making of The Godfather Series First Look Unveiled

Paramount+ unveiled Tuesday the first look at its limited series “The Offer”,  which chronicles the making of one of cinema’s absolute classics, “The Godfather“.

The Godfather is considered a cinema masterpiece and a genre-defining movie. The franchise was released in 1972 and consisted of three movies.

It was based on the novel by author Mario Puzo and centered around the Corleones, a powerful mob family embroiled in a battle for power in mid-’40s New York.

The franchise starred Marlon Brando, Al Pacino, James Caan, Diane Keaton, and Robert Duvall and ended up winning three Oscars, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Brando.

The making of the classic will be told through the eyes of two-time Academy Award producer Albert S. Rudy, played by Miles Teller. The real Rudy executive produces the series.

“The Offer” is created and written by Michael Tolkin. Nikki Toscano co-writes and showruns. The first three episodes of the series are directed by two-time BAFTA nominee Dexter Fletcher.

The series also stars Matthew Goode, Giovanni Ribisi, Colin Hanks, Juno Temple, Patrick Gallo, and Michael Gandolfini.

Grey’s Anatomy alum Justin Chambers will portray movie legend Marlon Brando, while Dan Fogler stars as acclaimed film director Francis Ford CoppolaLo, and Lou Ferrigno guest stars as actor Lenny Montana.

Paramount+ will premiere the first three episodes of “The Offer” on April 28. The remaining seven episodes will debut weekly every Thursday on the platform.
