Iconic Lebanese soprano Majida El Roumi has been added to the lineup for the second edition of the New Alamein Festival in North Coast, Egypt.
The concert is held on Friday, July 19.
The 2nd edition of the New Alamein Festival is held from July 11 to August 30, under the slogan "Alamein, the World of Science," and will allocate 60% of its profits to Palestine.
It features headline slots from Mohamed Mounir, Hany Shaker, Omar Khairat, Amr Diab, Kadim Al Sahir, Tamer Hosny, Cairokee, Wegz, and Souad Massi, among others.
The program comprises of more than 45 activities, including 50 by the Ministry of Culture and five diverse festivals: the Napata Festival, the Entertainment Festival, the Sports Festival, the Food Festival, and the Music and Theater Festival.
The New Alamein Festival will hold the majority of the events during daylight to rationalize electricity consumption.
Founded in 2023, the New Alamein Festival is one of the largest entertainment events in Egypt and the Middle East.
It brings together the best of art, sports, and entertainment, starting with concerts for local, Arab, and international artists in the biggest entertainment Arena in New Alamein to international shows and sporting events featuring international teams taking place on the beach area and Lagoon. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of exhibitions and food stalls.
The New Alamein Festival targets boosting tourism and entertainment for tourists and Egyptians in this area to upgrade the city to be an international spot for tourism.
