Egyptian actress Mai Omar will guest star in the star-studded TV series "Alb Shams".

Omar is teaming up once again with her husband, director Mohamed Sami, who wrote, directed, and starred in the highly awaited series.

The project marks another collaboration between the husband and wife duo.

The couple previously collaborated on "Hekayet Hayah" (2013), "Kalam Ala Waraq" (2014), "Al Ostora" (2016), "Tisbah ala Khair" (2017), "Weld Al Ghalaba" (2019), "Nasl El Aghrab" (2021), "Harley" (2023), "Neama Al Avocato" (2024), and "Ash Ash" (2025).

The project generates significant anticipation for its poignant exploration of modern Egyptian family dynamics and everyday societal conflicts. It promises a moving, emotionally charged narrative that mirrors authentic human experiences and the daily realities of contemporary society.

Along with Sami, "Alb Shams" also boasts a cast that includes Yousra, Dorra, Injy El Mokkaddem, Mahmoud Kabil, Entsar, Sawsan Badr, Passant Shawky, Edward, Menna Fadali, Nour Ehab, Ahmed Wafik, Amr Wahba, and more.

The highly anticipated project is currently underway and is set to debut on the "Yango Play" platform.

"Alb Shams" also marks Yousra's comeback to the small screen after a 3-year absence. She made her last appearance in the 2023 TV series “1000 Hamdallah Ala Al Salama”.

Omar, born on February 7, 1988, started her career as a producer in the field of advertising, then got into acting in 2013 with her role as Walaa in the TV Series “Hekayet Hayah”.

She is best known for her roles in the TV shows "Alaqa Mashroa" (2023), "Lu lu" (2020), “Weld El Ghalaba” (2019), “Rayah el Madam” (2017), “Afaret Adly Allam” (2017), “Al Ostora” (2017), “Halet Eshq” (2015), “Kalam Aala Wara” (2014), and “Hekayet Hayah” (2013).
