Mai Omar Drops Poster and First Look at TV Series  "El Set Mona Lisa"

Egyptian actress Mai Omar dropped on Tuesday on Instagram the official poster and teaser for her upcoming TV series "El Set Mona Lisa".

The cast also includes Sawsan Badr, Ahmed Magdy, Injy El Mokkaddem, Mariam El Gendy‎, Shimaa Seif, Mohamed Mahmoud, Jory Bakr, Wafaa Amer, and more.

The drama consists of 15 episodes and hails from director Mohamed Ali and scriptwriter Mohamed Sayed Bashir.

The official logline for the series reads:" When Monalisa says “I do,” she bets on forever. But in Cairo, the honeymoon fades fast: a self-serving husband, a family eyeing her dowry and love traded for gains. This marriage comes with strings attached."

"El Set Mona Lisa" is set to screen on "MBC Masr" TV Channel and Shahid during the Ramadan 2026 drama marathon.

Omar participated last Ramadan with the TV series “Ash Ash”.

The cast also includes Hala Sedki, Maged El Masry, Edward, Entesar, Ehab Fahmi, Tarek El-Nahry, Alaa Morsy, Shaimaa Saif, Dina, Essam El Sakka, Mohamed El Sharnouby, and more.

The 30-episode series marks the ninth collaboration between Omar and her husband, director/screenwriter Mohamed Sami.

The couple previously collaborated on "Hekayet Hayah" (2013), "Kalam Ala Waraq" (2014), "Al Ostora" (2016), "Tisbah ala Khair" (2017), "Weld Al Ghalaba" (2019), "Nasl El Aghrab" (2021), "Harley" (2023), and "Neama Al Avocato" (2024).

Omar, born on February 7, 1988, started her career as a producer in the field of advertising, then got into acting in 2013 with her role as Walaa in the TV Series “Hekayet Hayah”.

She is best known for her roles in the TV shows "Alaqa Mashroa" (2023), "Lu lu" (2020), “Weld El Ghalaba” (2019), “Rayah el Madam” (2017), “Afaret Adly Allam” (2017), “Al Ostora” (2017), “Halet Eshq” (2015), “Kalam Aala Wara” (2014), and “Hekayet Hayah” (2013).
