Egyptian actress Mai Ezz Eldin has finally made the first public appearance after health scare.
Ezz Eldin, 46, gave a delightful update on Thursday on her wellbeing and health journey.
The actress shared on Instagram two photos of herself in which she appeared to be in good health in her home garden.
Last month, Ezz Eldin was hospitalized after suffering from abdominal abscess two weeks before Ramadan.
Abdominal abscess is a collection of a pocket of pus and infected fluid that is surrounded by inflamed tissue inside the belly. Bacterial infections are the most common cause.
She required urgent surgical intervention to separate the intestinal adhesions and clean the abdomen and pelvis of the infection.
Ezz Eldin underwent hours-long surgery and transferred to the intensive care unit (ICU) for close monitoring until her recovery.
On March 9, she took to Instagram to pay tribute to the team of doctors who performed the complicated operation.
Fans have flooded her social media with messages of love and prayers for a speedy recovery.
Born on January 19, 1980, Ezz Eldin made her acting debut in the 2001 romantic film "Rehlet Hob," starring late legend Gamil Ratib and famed singer Mohamed Fouad.
She made her drama debut in the 2002 series “Ayna Qalbi”, starring veteran actress Yousra, which shot her to stardom.
Ezz Eldin boosted her career with films "Kalam Mama" and the rom-com franchise “Omar & Salma” starring opposite Tamer Hosny.
Her film credits also include "Farah," "Khiana Mashroaa," and "Habibi Na'eman."
On the TV side, Ezz Eldin is also best known for her roles in "Ayna Qalby," "Al-Hakika w Al-Sarab," "Mahmoud Al-Masri," "Adam," "El Shak," "Dalaa Banat," "Halet Eshq," "Waad," "Rasa'el," “Kheit Harir,” and “Gezira Guam.”
