Egyptian actress Mai Ezz Eldin signed Tuesday the aqd qiran to pharmacist and nutritionist Ahmed Taymour Khalil in a low-key ceremony limited to their family and friends.

Aqd qiran is an Islamic marriage contract that is considered an integral part of an Islamic marriage and outlines the rights and responsibilities of the groom and bride or other parties involved in marriage proceedings under Shariah.

Among the attendees was the bride's close friend and fellow actor Ahmed El Saadany, who also took to social media to express his happiness and celebrate the union.

Ezz Eldin took to Instagram to announce the news and share photos from the ceremony.

The announcement was met with widespread celebration from the actress' celebrity friends and fans, who showered her with love and best wishes.

Ezz Eldin’s marriage came as a surprise as she had always shut down speculations about being romantically involved in any romantic relationship or being engaged, and had said in more than one interview that she was still searching for the man of her dreams.
