Veteran Egyptian actor Mahmoud Hemida rules out collaborating again with Mohamed Ramadan, despite the great success of their film "Harley".
He expressed his dissatisfaction with producing company's breach of contract and the way his name was placed on the film credits in a way that was not appropriate for his history.
"Mai Omar and her husband, director Mohamed Sami, apologized to me. The issue has nothing to do with them at all," Hemida noted.
"I will not repeat the experience of working with Mohamed Ramadan again,".
"I was not invited to the premiere of the film, which caused me great distress and the decision not to deal with these people at all," Hamida continued.
"Harley" premiered during the Eid al-Fitr movie marathon. Mohamed Samir directed the film from a screenplay by Sami and Mohamed Samir Mabrouk.
The film is produced by Royal Sun, owned by Samer Al Mahdar, and marks the first project to arrive from Ramadan partnership with the producer Al Mahdar.
Hemida, born on December 7, 1953, kicked off his acting career with performances on television.
He participated in several TV series including “Harat Al Shurafa”, and “Al Wassiyah”, his performance in the latter drew a lot of praise and acclaim for his talents and marked the beginning of his rise as a star.
The start of Hemida’s career in the cinema began with performing a leading role alongside veteran actor Ahmed Zaki in the 1990 movie “Al Embrator”.
He has also founded a production company that has released several films including “Janat Al Shayytan” as well as founded an entertainment magazine titled “Al Fann Al Sabeaa”.
Hemida has proved his uniqueness in his ability to perform the characters he is assigned with efficiency, who is notable for his best form in “Faris Al Madinah”, and “Aafarit Al Asfalt”.
