Veteran Egyptian actor Mahmoud Hemida was hospitalized on Thursday after suffering from a sudden health crisis.
Multiple news outlets reported that Hamida had been suffering from heart problems.
He underwent the necessary medical treatment under the supervision of a specialized medical team and was continuously monitored to ensure the stability of his health condition.
Elham Shahin, a long-time collaborator and close friend to the acclaimed actor, shared an update on Hemida’s health, noting his health is good and is set to undergo more tests.
He will be discharged from the hospital after Friday prayers.

Born on December 7, 1953, Hemida earned his bachelor’s degree in commerce. He kicked off his acting career with performances on television.
The acclaimed actor participated in several TV series including “Harat Al Shurafa”, and “Al Wassiyah”, his performance in the latter drew a lot of praise and acclaim for his talents and marked the beginning of his rise as a star.
The start of Hemida’s career in the cinema began with performing a leading role alongside veteran actor Ahmed Zaki in the 1990 film “Al Embrator”.
He has also founded a production company that has released several films including “Janat Al Shayytan” as well as founded an entertainment magazine titled “Al Fann Al Sabeaa”.
Hemida has proved his uniqueness in his ability to perform the characters he is assigned with efficiency and is notable for his roles in “Faris Al Madinah”, and “Aafarit Al Asfalt”.
