Egyptian actress Maged El Kedwany will guest star in actor Karim Abdel Aziz's film "Al Ard Al Soda".
The cast also stars Yasmine Sabri, Eyad Nassar, Mariem El Gendy, Essam El Sakka, Ahmed Ghozzi, and more.
"Al Ard Al Soda" hails from acclaimed director Peter Mimi and is set to premiere during the Eid Al-Adha movie marathon.
The film witnesses the sixth collaboration between El Kedwany and Abdel Aziz. They previously collaborated on the TV series “El Ekhteyar S2" and films "Haramiya Fi Tailand", "Harameya fi KG2", "Nadi El-Regal El-Serri", and "Al Baad La Yazhab Lel Mazoun Maratayen".
"Al Ard Al Soda" also marks the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi. They previously collaborated on the blockbuster film "Beit El Ruby" as well as the hit TV series “El Ekhteyar S1 & S2" and "Al-Hashashin".
The film also features the first collaboration between Sabri and Mimi.
"Al Ard Al Soda" is centered around a female diver who lives in the Red Sea's El Gouna and meets Abdel Aziz's character. The pair got into many ordeals that brought them together and led them on a journey around the world.
El Kedwany can be seen in season 3 of the TV series “Mawdoo Aaely” (A Family Matter).
The cast also includes Mohamed Shahin, Enass Kamel, Rana Raeis, Nour, Mohamed Radwan, Sama Ibrahim, Taha Desouki, Yasmine Wafi, Mohammad Al Qass, Fouad Mohsen, Yasmina El Abd, Rania Youssef, Jan Ramez, and more.
Director Ahmed El Gendy helmed the series from a script he co-wrote with Mohamed Ezz and Karim Youssef.
The first season premiered in November 2021 and marked El Kedwany’s first lead role in a drama as well as his first project to be produced for a streaming service.
The series was renewed for a second season in January 2022 and renewed for a third season in February 2023.
Season one depicted Ibrahim (played by El Kedwany) discovering that he has a daughter from his late wife and his attempts to get close to his daughter (Raeis) and tell her that he was her father.
The second season followed Ibrahim experiencing memory loss and finding out that he has a brain tumor.
“Mawdoo Aaely” was initially set to be a film but was later made into a film.
The show made its long-awaited return for Season 3 on Sahid VIP on December 26.
