Egyptian actress Magda Zaki was discharged from the hospital on Wednesday after recovering from a recent health emergency.
She had been hospitalized and underwent a heart operation to implant a stent in her heart.
Zaki is currently participating in the Ramadan drama marathon with the TV series “Ras Al Afaa”.
The cast also includes Amir Karara, Sherif Mounir, Eslam Gamal, Caroline Azmy, Ahmed Ghozzi, and more.
Mohamed Bakir directs the series from a script by Hani Sarhan. Synergy is the studio behind the drama.
It consists of 30 episodes and centers around a terrorism officer and his work to defeat violent extremism.
"Ras Al Afaa" is considered one of the most anticipated TV series in the drama marathon.
Born on December 12, 1958, Zaki is an Egyptian stage, television, and film actress. She studied at the High Institute of Theatrical Arts.
After graduation, she landed a minor role in the 1978 hit TV series "Ahlam El Fata El Ta'er" (Dreams of the Flying Kid).
Zaki later starred in popular TV series such as "A'elat Elhag Metwaly," "Layaly Al-Helmiya S4 & S5, "Wamin Aldhy la Yuhibu Fatma ?," and "Ya Regal El-A'lam Ettahidu,".
Her other TV credits include "Abbas EL Abyad fel Youm El Eswed", "Al `Attar We Al Saba`a Banat," "Hagma Mortadda," and "Qut Al-Qulob S1 & S2".
On the film side, Zaki is best known for her roles in "El-Kalam fi el-Mamnoo," "El Irhab Wel Kabab," "Khaltabita," and "Al-Irhabi."
She is also known for her roles in the theatrical productions "Hazmni ya," "Alabanda," and "Afroto."
