Lucy Hale to Star in Movie "Mort in Sherman Oaks"

American singer-actress Lucy Hale is set to star in Daniel André’s debut feature, "Mort in Sherman Oaks".

It also stars Keir Gilchrist, Francesca Eastwood, Jim Gaffigan, Jay Pharoah, Rhys Coiro, Monica Potter, Clara McGregor, Dustin Milligan, Leslie Stratton, Dylan Flashner, Lisa Yaro, and Isaac Singleton Jr.,and others.

The movie is produced by André, Greg Lauritano, Lucas Jarach, and Luke Daniels.

Executive producers include Savoy Brummer, Robert Ogden Barnum, Jeff Rice, Rick Sasner, Stanley Preschutti, Ruben Islas, Robert Chan, Joel Michaely, and Matt Shapira. ICM Partners is handling sales.

The film written by André is an offbeat romance about a down-and-out mortician living in near-future Los Angeles, where inpiduals can receive their life day count by using a specific scientific method.

It revolves around Mort (Gilchrist) finding out he has less than a year to live leading to his fiancé Nicole (Eastwood) leaving him. He decides to join a dating service that matches people by their death dates and meets Kate (Hale), all while being stalked by a deranged man named Simon (Coiro).

Hale will also star in the crime thriller movie “Gemini Lounge”.

It also stars Emile Hirsch, Ashley Greene, Vincent Laresca, Jake Cannavale, Robert Davi, Greg Finley, Bo Dietl, Sid Rosenberg, Jeremy Luke, and James Russo.

Directed by Danny A. Abeckaser, “Gemini Lounge” follows demoted detective Bobby Belucci (Hirsch) is given the opportunity to go undercover and take down the mob’s most ruthless killer, but his life and only chance at redemption spiral out of control as he loses himself in the role.

Global Ascension Studios is producing in partnership with Abeckaser’s 2B Films and Kyle Stefanski’s Wild7 Films.

Moreover, Stefanski is also set to appear in the movie, and Abeckaser starring as Roy Demeo, the gangster the film centers around.

Additional producers include Gustavo Nascimento, Jon Brewer, and Sarkissian’s producing partner, Josh Macciello.

Production is underway in Los Angeles, with additional filming to follow in New York.
