Apple TV has set July 15 as the premiere date for the first two episodes of the TV adaptation of "Lucky," based on the book by Marissa Stapley.
The cast and creators behind the series revealed the news on stage at Apple TV’s 2026 press day on Tuesday along with a teaser video and first-look photos.
New episodes will arrive every Wednesday through August 19.
"Lucky" stars Anya Taylor-Joy, Drew Starkey, Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, Annette Bening, Timothy Olyphant, Clifton Collins Jr., and William Fictner.
Taylor-Joy, who also serves as executive producer on the series, stars as con artist Lucky, who is forced to go on the run when a multi-million-dollar heist goes sideways. Pursued by both the FBI and a ruthless crime boss (Bening), Lucky must fight for her life — and a way out.
Olyphant will portray Lucky’s father John. Bening’s dangerous mob leader’s name is Priscilla. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor will portray Agent Billie Rand. Drew Starky, who is also set to star in the upcoming A24 film Deep Cuts based on Holly Brickley’s novel, will play Cary, Lucky’s husband.
Hailing from Apple Studios, "Lucky" is co-showrun, written and executive produced by Jonathan Tropper through his Tropper Ink banner and under his overall deal with Apple TV, alongside co-showrunner and executive producer Cassie Pappas.
The series is executive produced by Reese Witherspoon and Lauren Neustadter for Hello Sunshine. Taylor-Joy executive produces through her production banner, LadyKiller. Jonathan van Tulleken, who directed the pilot, is also executive producing.
