Hollywood actor Leonardo DiCaprio showed his support for children and displaced people in Ukraine after the Russian invasion of the country last month.
A source explained to People that “Leo had privately made several donations to humanitarian groups — CARE, IRC, UNHCR and Save the Children."
It added that DiCaprio had “been watching things unfold and wanted to support Ukraine the best he could. He will continue to support the humanitarian groups on the ground which are helping the people of Ukraine.”
“He stands with Ukraine and will continue to support,” the insider noted.
Notably, the actor's grandmother, Helene, was born in Odessa, Ukraine.
In like manner, English former footballer David Beckham announced that he and his wife Victoria will provide aid to the children of Ukraine as the Russian invasion continues to devastate the country.
“I’m setting up an emergency appeal through my 7 Fund for UNICEF to help provide immediate aid,” he explained. “Victoria and I have made a donation on behalf of our family to kickstart the appeal.”
