Lebanon's Health Ministry Hamad Hassan confirmed on Saturday the first case of the Coronavirus in Lebanon.

During a news conference, Hassan added that the infected case is a 45-year-old woman, who returned from Iran.

He also asserted that her health condition is stable and she is currently under medical observation.

It is worth mentioning, Liu Zhiming, the director of a leading Hospital in China’s central city of Wuhan, the epicenter of a coronavirus outbreak, died of the disease Tuesday morning, according to state television.

He is the first known hospital director to have died from this deadly virus.

China is trying with all its might to confront the effects resulting from the outbreak of the new Coronavirus, via a series of strong and effective measures that seek to reduce the number of deaths and injuries caused by this deadly virus.

Noteworthy, authorities in China announced on Friday that the death toll of the new strain of the Coronavirus in the country rose to 2,236 cases, and the number of infected persons leaped to 75,465 cases until the past 24 hours.

The deadly virus was renamed as COVID19 by the World Health Organization (WHO)

The National Health Committee of China (NHCC) released a statement that the statement says that the Health Affairs Committee has received data from 31 provinces across the country.

That data confirms that 75,465 people were infected.
