The Grand Egyptian Museum welcomed H.E. Mr. Nawaf Salam, Prime Minister of Lebanon, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Ghassan Salamé, Minister of Culture, H.E. Mr. Joseph Sadé, Minister of Energy and Water, and their accompanying delegation, as part of their official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
They were received by Dr. Ahmed Ghoneim, Chief Executive Officer of the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority, who guided them on a tour that included the outdoor plaza, the Grand Hall, and the Great Staircase, leading to the 12 main galleries. These galleries present a comprehensive narrative of ancient Egyptian civilization from the earliest dynasties through the Greco-Roman period.
During the visit, Ms. Souad Mohamed from the Public Relations and Protocol Department delivered an in-depth presentation highlighting the museum’s diverse sections and rare archaeological treasures, emphasizing the uniqueness of the exhibition design in showcasing the grandeur of Egypt’s heritage.
At the conclusion of the tour, the Lebanese Prime Minister and his delegation expressed their deep admiration for the museum, praising the significant efforts made by the Grand Egyptian Museum Authority in safeguarding this monumental cultural landmark, and commending the exceptional quality and global value of the museum’s exhibitions.
