Lana Condor (To All the Boys) has signed on to star in "Whodunnit", a new romantic comedy, which production commences in Oregon this month.
Nora Kirkpatrick (A Tree Fell in the Woods) directs the pic from a script by Jessica Kravitz and Chelsea Catalanotto, with revisions by Kirkpatrick.
"Whodunnit" follows Tess Klein, whose life was supposed to follow the plan: love by 25, marriage by 30, baby by 32. But after a spectacularly failed marriage proposal and one wild rebound weekend Tess discovers that sometimes you have to live the life you have and not the one you planned.
The pic will be produced by Richard Alan Reid and Michael Philip for BuzzFeed Studios, Mark Fasano and Matthew Goldberg for Nickel City Pictures, and Mike Blutstein for Hooky Media.
Nadine De Barros of Fortitude International and R. Wesley Sierk III, John D. Straley, Jina Panebianco, and Audra Gricius of CaliWood Pictures are executive producers.
Fortitude International and BuzzFeed Studios are handling worldwide sales.
Breaking out with her starring role in Netflix’s YA rom-com franchise "To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before," based on the novels by Jenny Han, Condor voiced the title role in DreamWorks’ "Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken" and has also been seen in films like "Moonshot," "Alita: Battle Angel," and "Patriots Day," as well as series like "Abbott Elementary" and "Deadly Class".
Upcoming, she’ll be seen in the Amazon MGM action thriller "Ballerina Overdrive," as well as "Coyote vs. Acme," which releases next summer through Ketchup Entertainment after being previously shelved by Warner Bros Discovery.
She most recently wrapped a lead role in Amazon MGM’s shark pic "The Devil’s Mouth".
