Reports: Kuwaiti Cabinet to Resign in 48 Hours

Kuwaiti cabinet is expected to submit its resignation within the next 48 hours, less than a month after its formation, according to state reports.

The Kuwaiti newspaper, Al-Rai, said that it is reportedly that the government intends to submit its resignation within the next 48 hours, in light of the interpellation directed to Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled by a number of 37 members of parliament.

Earlier today, National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim decided to adjourn Wednesday’s parliamentary session due to the government's Prime Minister wasn't present.

Notably, the Emir of Kuwait, Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, expressed on Tuesday appreciation for the Egyptian role, saying: “We appreciate the role of the Egyptian leadership and its support for issues relating to the security of the region.”

He also welcomed Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry, who is participating in the 41st Gulf Summit.

On Tuesday, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman (MBS) received the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) leaders, and heads of delegation at Al-Ula international airport.

The 41st Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) summit kicked off shortly in the Saudi city of Al-Ula, under the chairmanship of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Among the participants are, Bahrain’s crown prince, Sheikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Qatari Emir, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Omani Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs, Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al Maktoum.
