American actress Kristen Stewart’s highly-anticipated new movie, "Spencer", is set to be premiered in competition at the Venice International Film Festival.
Pablo Larraín directed the movie from a screenplay written by the “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight.
The actress stars in the movie opposite Jack Farthing who plays Prince Charles. It also stars Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, Sean Harris, and others.
"Spencer" follows a weekend in the early 1990s when Princess Diana (Stewart) decided to separate from Prince Charles amid rumors of affairs.
The late princess was spending the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk, when she decides to end her tumultuous marriage with Prince Charles.

Neon and Topic Studios have acquired US distribution rights for the movie, which is expected to be a major awards season player in the fall.
In a statement on Monday, Stewart stated that the movie examines who the late princess was at a pivotal turning point in her life.
She added that the project also delves into a physical assertion of the sum of her parts, which starts with her given name: Spencer. It is a harrowing effort for her to return to herself, as Diana strives to hold onto what the name Spencer means to her.
The movie comes out in 2022 to mark the 25th anniversary of Diana’s death.
