Kristen Stewart’s “Spencer” Gets Release Date

The release date for American actress Kristen Stewart’s highly-anticipated Princess Diana biopic, "Spencer",  has finally been revealed.

In a tweet on Tuesday, distributor NEON announced that the movie will open in theaters on November 5.

Pablo Larraín directed the movie from a screenplay written by the “Peaky Blinders” creator Steven Knight.

The actress stars in the movie opposite Jack Farthing who plays Prince Charles. It also stars Timothy Spall, Sally Hawkins, Sean Harris, and others.

“Spencer” follows a weekend in the early 1990s when Princess Diana (Stewart) decided to separate from Prince Charles amid rumors of affairs.

The late princess was spending the Christmas holiday with the royal family at the Sandringham estate in Norfolk when she decides to end her tumultuous marriage with Prince Charles.

In 1981, the princess married Prince Charles, and got separated in 1992, and porced in 1996. She was tragically killed in a car crash in Paris the following year.

Neon and Topic Studios have acquired US distribution rights for the movie, which is expected to be a major awards season player in the fall.
