American actress Kristen Stewart has signed on to star in the road-trip comedy movie "Sacramento".
It also stars Michael Angarano, Michael Cera, Maya Erskine, AJ Mendez, Iman Karram, and Rosalind Chao.
Angarano is directing the movie from a script he co-wrote with Chris Smith. Producers are Bee-Hive Production’s Stephen Braun, The Wonder Company’s Eric B. Fleischman and Chris Abernathy, Sam Grey, along with Angarano and co-writer Smith.
The movie follows Rickey, an energetic and free-spirited young man, and Glenn, his long-time friend who’s settled into domestic life. On an impromptu road trip from Los Angeles to Sacramento, their past comes into focus, and questions their future.
The movie features Angarano as Rickey and Cera portrays Glenn. Erskine will play Rickey’s wife, Tallie, and Stewart is Glenn’s wife, Rosie.
Mendez and Karram will play best friends and ex-professional fighters who help teach Rickey and Glenn about their own relationship.
Principal photograph is slated to begin this spring.
