South Korean ambassador to Egypt expressed his country’s interest in increasing cooperation with Egypt in the economic sector.
On Tuesday, the Korean ambassador, Hong Jin-wook met with H.E. Dr Tarek Amer, Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) to share the macroeconomic outlook for both countries and ideas to expand economic cooperation.
Despite the Covid19 pandemic situation, Ambassador Hong affirmed that the Korean and Egyptian economy are showing relatively positive indicators thanks to the vigorous efforts of two governments and the resilience of the people.
In a meeting on Tuesday, the ambassador and the Governor discussed ways to strengthen ongoing cooperation between two countries on automobile, electronics, railways, textiles and etc.
In a step to strengthen their joint cooperation also, they shared the view that Egypt is a promising market with goepolitical and goecomonic importance and discussed how to make Korean companies be more familiar with Egyptian markets so that they can make use of Egypt as a regional hub of their business.
