Reality television star Kim Kardashian is set to star in the upcoming 12th season of the anthology series "American Horror Story", co-creator Ryan Murphy said on Monday.

Kardashian will co-star with Emma Roberts in the upcoming season. which is based on a forthcoming book called "Delicate Condition."

The novel, due for release in August, is described as a feminist update to Rosemary's Baby that follows "A woman convinced a sinister figure is going to great lengths to make sure her pregnancy never happens."

“Kim is among the biggest and brightest television stars in the world and we are thrilled to welcome her to the AHS family,” Murphy said in a statement to The Hollywood Reporter.

“Emma and I are excited about collaborating with this true force in the culture. Halley Feiffer has written a fun, stylish, and ultimately terrifying role especially for Kim, and this season is ambitious and unlike anything we have ever done,”.

The reality star confirmed the casting on social media and posted a brief teaser trailer that featured a creepy version of “Rock-a-bye, Baby” playing as the two stars’ names are shown, with text stating that they “are delicate.” A voice can also be heard whispering “Emma and Kim are delicate.”

The upcoming season is set to drop this summer.

Last year, Kardashian talked to Interview magazine about acting, following her stint hosting “Saturday Night Live”, as well as voicing a character in the animated film “Paw Patrol”.

“Would I act? I would if something fun came about. Maybe a Marvel movie, that would be so fun to do. I’m not actively looking, but I think things just come when they’re supposed to,” Kardashian said.

The reality star became a pop culture phenomenon during 14 years with her sisters on the reality show "Keeping Up with the Kardashians", which ended in 2021. The extended Kardashian family now appears on "The Kardashians" on Hulu.

Kardashian has a number of smaller sitcom credits to her name - having appeared in shows like "30 Rock", "How I Met Your Mother", and "2 Broke Girls", as well as some voice acting credits such as 2021's "Paw Patrol: The Movie".
