Kid Cudi Joins Action-Thriller Movie "Silent Night"

American rapper Scott Mescudi, commonly known by his stage name Kid Cudi, has recently joined the cast of the action-thriller movie "Silent Night".

Mescudi will portray a detective named Dennis Vassel. He is set to star alongside Joel Kinnaman, Harold Torres, and Catalina Sandino Moreno.

"Silent Night" centers around Godlock (Kinnaman), a father on a mission to avenge his young son who was tragically caught in the crossfire of gang violence on Christmas Eve. Shot and nearly killed while in pursuit of the murderers, Godlock vows to avenge his son.

The movie is helmed by iconic action filmmaker John Woo from a screenplay penned by Robert Lynn.

Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee are producing for Thunder Road, with Christian Mercuri for Capstone, and Lori Tilkin for A Better Tomorrow Films. Capstone’s David Haring, Joe Gatta, and Ruzanna Kegeyan are exec producing alongside Mike Gabrawy and Will Flynn for Thunder Road.

"Silent Night" is currently in production in Mexico City.

Moreover, Kid Cudi has several projects in the pipeline, including the upcoming movies: Netflix's “Teddy”, “Crater”, Brittany Snow’s feature film directorial debut September 17th, and the film adaptation of the 2020 coming-of-age novel, “Real Life”.

“Teddy” will not only see the musician in the director’s chair for the first time but also on-screen starring in the movie and co-writing its screenplay.
