Khosht Honors Abou El-Enein in Attribution for Media Efforts

Cairo University President Dr. Mohamed Othman El Khosht honored on Wednesday prominent businessman Mohamed Abou El Enein in attribution for his tremendous efforts in media industry.

This came on the sidelines of the 25th International Scientific Conference, organized by Faculty of Mass Communication of Cairo University in the presence of media figures and professors.

Khosht also hailed Abou El Enein's speech, describing him as a great media man.

The university chief explained that the media plays a big role in shaping  public opinion trends. He added Unfortunately, the herd spirit still prevails over public opinion.

He also said that TV channels are now affecting the public opinion more than newspapers and may cause inaccurate image to inflame public opinion and destroy countries.

He referred that the media is going through a major crisis in Egypt and the world, due to the information momentum and 4th generation wars, stressing that Egypt is not only facing the  terrorism war.

Also, media faculties need to teach courses on media technology and new digital industry, which suggest the digital media department establishment in cooperation with the rest of departments to produce qualified media cadres.

Earlier, the chairman of Cleopatra Group delivered a speech over the media industry globally and its challenges.
