Dr. Maya Morsy, Minister of Social Solidarity, Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and Gohar Nabil, Minister of Youth and Sports, inaugurated the sixth edition of the Khatwa 2026 Employment Forum, organized by Helm Foundation under the patronage of several government ministries. The forum aims to promote inclusive employment opportunities and economic empowerment for persons with disabilities.
The event brought together senior government officials, business leaders, civil society representatives, and disability advocates. More than 40 multinational and leading Egyptian companies participated, alongside over 2,500 qualified job seekers with disabilities from across the country.
The ministers toured the exhibition halls, reviewed available job opportunities, learned about labor market requirements, and listened to inspiring success stories that highlighted the positive impact of inclusive employment on achieving economic independence and social integration.

Dr. Maya Morsy emphasized that empowering persons with disabilities remains a national priority in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi. She noted that Khatwa 2026 represents a successful model of cooperation between government institutions, the private sector, and civil society to create sustainable employment opportunities and achieve meaningful inclusion.
Dr. Abdel Aziz Konsowa stressed the importance of strategic partnerships that support training, qualification, and employment for persons with disabilities, while reaffirming the commitment of Egyptian universities to accessibility and inclusion initiatives.
For his part, Minister Gohar Nabil highlighted that empowering persons with disabilities is a key component of Egypt’s development agenda and announced the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ full support for the forum and similar initiatives.

On the sidelines of the event, the ministers witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Qaderoon Bekhtelaf Fund and Helm Foundation. The agreement aims to establish a comprehensive framework for training and employing persons with disabilities across Egypt, further supporting their economic and social inclusion.
