Khaled El Sawy and Ahmed Helmy Reunite for Film "Hadoota"

Egyptian stars Khaled El Sawy and Ahmed Helmy have found their next collaboration in the film “Hadoota.”

The pic marks the fourth collaboration between El Sawy and Helmy after the 2025 blockbuster films “Zarf Tarek,” “Keda Reda,” and “Khayal Maata.”

“Hadoota” also witnesses Helmy's comeback to the big screen after four years of absence. He made his last onscreen appearance in the 2022 film “Wahed Tani”.

Specific details on the upcoming project remain under wraps, but the pic hails from director Mazen Ashraf and scriptwriter Ahmed Abdalrahman‎.

In addition to El Sawy and Helmy, the cast also includes Maged El Masry, Amina Khalil, Rahma Ahmed, and more.

Principal photography is underway.

El Sawy made his last appearance on the big screen in the 2025 film "El Shater."

Born on November 25, 1963, El Sawy began acting while he studied law at Cairo University.

After graduating in 1985, he studied directing at the Academy of Arts till 1993, then started working as an assistant director on the film “Samaka we Arbaa' Oroush” (A Fish and Four Sharks).

El Sawy served as a director for several of the Nile International network’s satellite channels.

He co-founded the Egyptian Foundation for Theater Enthusiasts and wrote plays “Haflet Maganin” (Crazy Party), and “Operette El Darfil” (The Dolphin Operette), which he won the Taymour Award for Theatrical Ingenuity in 1991 and 1992, respectively.

El Sawy’s career includes a variety of distinct roles in several films, including “Emaret Yacoubian” (Yacoubian Building), “Keda Reda”, “Cabaret”, “El Farah” (The Wedding), and “El Feel El Azraq” (The Blue Elephant).

He also starred as a lead in television series like “Tofahet Adam” (Adam’s Apple) and “Khatem Suleiman” (Suleiman’s Ring).
