Renowned actor Khaled El Nabawy celebrated his 57th birthday, marking over two decades of a rich film career.
On his special day, both fans and celebrities took to their social media accounts and penned down a sweet message for The Citizen's star,
Born in Mansoura, Egypt, in 1966, he was presented to cinema by the director Youssef Chahine in 1994, in his film Al Mohager.
The beloved actor made his big breakthrough with his success in the ‘Ismailia Rayeh Gai’ film and many remarkable films and stunning performances followed suit. His magnificent performance in the ''Kingdom of Heaven'' international film won much praise from English fans and critics alike.
Throughout his career, El Nabawy was awarded the All-African Film Award for Best Actor for his role in this film, and also won the Horus Award for Best Supporting Actor for Al Maseer, from the Cairo National Festival for Egyptian Cinema. El Nabawy attended the Institute of Performing Arts.
El Nabawy has taken on notable roles in Hollywood productions. He played Mullah, the first advisor to Saladin in the hit film Kingdom of Heaven, as well as the character Hamed, an Iraqi scientist, in the movie Fair Game.
