Hollywood star Kevin Costner,68, and his wife, Christine Baumgartner, 49, are going their separate ways after 18 years of marriage.
According to TMZ, the hand designer filed to end their marriage on Monday over “irreconcilable differences.”
In her filing, Baumgartner asked for joint custody of their three kids: Cayden, 15, Hayes, 14, and Grace, 12.
“It is with great sadness that circumstances beyond his control have transpired which have resulted in Mr. Costner having to participate in a dissolution of marriage action,” a rep for the “Bodyguard” actor, 68, told the outlet.
“We ask that his, Christine’s, and their children’s privacy be respected as they navigate this difficult time.”
Costner responded Tuesday to his estranged wife’s petition by also asking for joint custody of the children.
The former couple began dating in 1999, shortly after the “Yellowstone” star split from Bridget Rooney, with whom he shares son Liam, 27.
After a brief breakup in 2003, Baumgartner and Costner reunited the following year and tied the knot in Aspen, Colo.
They welcomed their oldest son, Cayden, in May 2007 and their second son, Hayes, in February 2009. The following year, the pair welcomed their daughter, Grace.
The veteran actor was previously married to Cindy Costner, however, they split in 2004 after 16 years of marriage.
They also share three kids together: Annie, 39, Lily, 36, and Joe, 35.
The breakup comes after The Post reported that “Yellowstone” — the show that “reinvigorated” his career and earned him a Golden Globe for his role as John Dutton — was canceled after five seasons due to Costner’s dispute with creator Taylor Sheridan.
“It’s the same as with any showrunner and big star — there’s respect, but there’s friction. We’re hoping it will be worked out. It’s too big a show for things not to be worked out” a well-placed production source told The Post.
“Hopefully Kevin will return for the remaining episodes if everyone works together, but it looks like ‘Yellowstone’ will end after this season.”
