The investigation of the murder of iconic rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in 1996, saw a new progress as authorities arrested, early Friday, a man in Las Vegas who was believed to be related to the crime.
The Associated Press cited two officials revealing that Duane "Keffe D" Davis was arrested early on Friday morning.
However, no details were issued regarding the accusations or charges.
The arrest came as a highly anticipated move to bring the case to life once again, especially after the frustration and sadness rap and Hip-Hop fans felt for more than 25 years.
Keffe D appeared in several interviews, claiming that he was involved in the murder of Tupac Shakur, according to Fox3.
Last July, Police searched a home in the Las Vegas area, and the search was related to the long controversial murder case of prolific artist Tupac Shakur, ABC reported.
Las Vegas police said in a statement: "LVMPD can confirm a search warrant was served in Henderson, Nevada on July 17, 2023, as part of the ongoing Tupac Shakur homicide investigation."
The department added: "We will have no further comment at this time."
Named one of the top influential Hip-Hop voices, Tupac was killed on September 7 1996.
