American pop star Katy Perry has dedicated a song entitled "What Makes A Woman" to her unborn daughter on her upcoming fifth studio album, "KP5".

The "Daisies" singer is pregnant with her first child with actor fiance Orlando Bloom.

The singer tells her child in the song that there are no "limits on any of her dreams", a future which she hopes to happen to her child.

She continued: "That she doesn't have any limits on any of her dreams, or what she wants to be, or who she thinks she is and she can change whenever she wants. She can try everything on if she wants."

In an interview with iHeartRadio, Perry also teased that the album would include some "love-based" songs.

On May 15, the pop star dropped “Daisies”, the first track from her forthcoming fifth album, which is set to arrive on August 14 via Capitol.

“Daisies” is an empowering song about the strength of the human spirit. Perry reflected how she has gotten herself back off the ground after she was knocked down.

“They said I’m going nowhere, tried to count me out,” she sings. “Took those sticks and stones, showed ’em I could build a house, they tell me that I’m crazy, but I’ll never let them change me, ’til they cover me in daisies, daisies, daisies.”

The music video was filmed outdoors, which was directed and produced by director Liza Voloshin, from a safe social distance.

In 2017, she released her previous album “Witness”. She has been releasing singles ever since such as “Harleys in Hawaii,” “Small Talk,” “Never Really Over,” and “365.”

Katy Perry to help her daughter pick her name

In a statement, Perry revealed recently that her child will pick her name from a list made by her parents.

She continued: "We have yet to decide specifically on her name because, I think, we have got options and she will tell us."

Early March, Perry used her music to announce her pregnancy as she featured cradling her growing baby bump at the end of her music video of her latest single “Never Worn White”.

Last April, she revealed on social media the gender of her baby with a messy picture of Bloom whose face was covered in pink-toned whipped cream, which was captioned: “It’s a girl,”.

On March 8, Perry admitted that she was hoping to have a girl during her performance at the Women’s Cricket World Cup Final in Melbourne, Australia.

The pair were set to get married originally in front of 150 guests in Japan later this year, however like so many people in the world, they have also been forced to push the date to 2021 back due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The “teenage dream” singer and the “lord of the rings” actor first started dating after meeting at the 2016 Golden Globes, before Bloom proposed to her on Valentine’s Day in 2019.

The 35-year-old singer is expected to give birth in the summer, which will Bloom second, being that he shares a 9-year-old son named Flynn with his former wife Miranda Kerr.

Last April, the pop star addressed whether if she was planning to have a baby shower amid a global pandemic.

Perry went on another Facebook Live chat and answered fans’ questions about both the show and her personal life.

The American Idol judge stated that the current events have thrown all her preconceptions.

“I know not everyone does a babymoon or a baby shower, but I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to do any of that. I’m just taking it one day at a time” she said.
