Egyptian actor, Karim Kassem is reteaming up with his long-time collaborator Ahmed Dawood in the TV series "Zeinhom", which is set to premiere during the off-season.
The project, which consists of 30 episodes, also stars Salma Abu Deif and marks Dawood's first major TV role in a drama.
Yahya Ismail directs the series from a script by Mohamed Suleiman Abdul-Malik.
Principal photography is set to begin in early September.
Kassem is also collaborating with Dawood in the long-awaited third outing in the franchise, "Welad Rizk 3: El Qadya" (Sons of Rizk 3: The knockout).
It will also feature Sayed Ragab reprising his role as Ma'alem Sakr and Asser Yassin as Al Shayeb.
Yassin will have more screen time for the character in preparation for the "Welad Rizk" spin-off film "Al Shayeb" (The King). The film was first announced in 2019 in the post-credit scene of "Welad Rizk 2".
"Welad Rizk" first premiered in 2015 and hails from screenwriter Salah El Gehiny and director Tarek Alarian.
The film features an all-star ensemble cast that includes Ahmed Ezz, Amr Youssef, Ahmed Dawood, Karim Qassem, Mohamed Mamdouh, and Ahmed El Fishawy.
"Welad Rizk 3" is set to premiere sometime later in 2024.
