Egyptian stars Karim Abdel Aziz and Yasmine Sabri's new film has been retitled from “Al Mashrue" to "Al Ard Al Soda."
Jordanian actor Eyad Nassar is set to star alongside Abdel Aziz and Sabri in the film.
Specific details on the upcoming project remain under wraps, but the pic hails from acclaimed director Peter Mimi.
The film witnesses the third collaboration between Abdel Aziz and Mimi after the blockbuster film "Beit El Ruby" as well as the hit TV series “El Ekhteyar S1 & S2" and "Al-Hashashin".
It also features the first collaboration between Sabri and Mimi.
Abdel Aziz was last seen on the big screen in the comedy film “Beit El Ruby” and Sabri in the comedy film "Abu Nasab".
Born on August 17, 1975, to an artistic family, Abdel Aziz is one of the top-notch actors in Egypt and the Arab world.
He is the son of director Mohamad Abdul Aziz, nephew of filmmaker Omar Abdel Aziz, and actress Samira Muhsin. His father and uncle are known for imprinting modern Egyptian cinema with their movies.
Abdel Aziz starred in his first role at the age of five. He graduated from the Cinema Institute in 1994 and began working at the Film Institute Department of Directing.
In 1997, he served as an assistant director for a short time. The actor’s class at the Cinema Institute included Ahmed Nader Galal, Ahmed Samir Farag, Marwan Wahid Hamed, and Mohamed Ismail Shafei.
Abdel Aziz returned to acting with veteran actor Ahmed Zaki in the 1997 movie “Edhak Elsora Tetlaa Helwa”.
Veteran actress Samira Ahmed chose for a role in the 1998 TV series “Emraa mn zaman el Hob”.
Abdel Aziz is married and has two children, Malak and Ali.
