Iraqi superstar Kadim Al Sahir released on Thursday a new song titled “Hold Your Fire” in solidarity with Palestine amid the ongoing Israel aggression in Gaza.
The song was presented in English to deliver a message to the world for an end to the ongoing aggression against civilians.
In the song, the acclaimed singer highlights the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine and calls for an end to the devastating war.
The song proceeds will be donated to the United Nations through the following agencies: UNRWA (United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East), UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), and the World Food Program.
On October 7, Hamas initiated Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, a multi-pronged surprise attack that included a barrage of rocket launches and infiltrations into Israel by land, sea, and air.
It said the incursion was in retaliation for the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and growing violence by Israeli settlers. The Israeli military then launched Operation Swords of Iron against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing Israeli aggression has resulted in more than 14,000 deaths, around 40% of them children, according to Palestinian health authorities. Hundreds of thousands of Gaza's 2.3 million people have fled their homes to escape the violence, but conditions are becoming more desperate.
The figure stands at more than 1,400 people in Israel.
