The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) forecasts extremely hot and humid weather across most parts of the country during Sunday's daytime hours.

Hot and humid conditions are also expected along the northern coasts, while warm and humid weather will prevail during the early morning and nighttime across most regions.

According to the EMA, high humidity levels will make temperatures feel 1 to 3 degrees Celsius higher than the actual readings recorded in the shade.

The authority also warned of light rain chances over parts of the north. There is a 30% probability of light to occasionally moderate rainfall over the northwestern coasts and northern Nile Delta at intermittent intervals.

In addition, isolated light drizzle may occur during the morning over parts of the northeastern coasts, southern Nile Delta, Greater Cairo, and the Canal Cities due to elevated humidity levels.

Intermittent winds ranging between 30 and 45 km/h are expected across most parts of the country. The winds may stir up sand and dust over parts of the Western Desert.

Along parts of the Mediterranean coast, including Marsa Matruh, El Alamein, Alexandria, Baltim, and Port Said, wind activity is expected to raise wave heights to between 1.5 and 2.25 meters.

The expected maximum and "feels like" temperatures are as follows:

Greater Cairo: 36°C (feels like 38°C)

Nile Delta: 35°C (feels like 37°C)

Northwestern Coast: 30°C (feels like 33°C)

Northeastern Coast: 32°C (feels like 35°C)

North Upper Egypt: 39°C (feels like 41°C)

South Upper Egypt: 43°C (feels like 44°C)
