Julia Roberts to Star alongside Jennifer Aniston in Body-Swap Comedy Movie

Julia Roberts is set to star alongside Jennifer Aniston in a body-swap comedy movie.

LuckyChap Entertainment, the production label of Margot Robbie, Tom Ackerley, and Josey McNamara will produce alongside Roberts and her Red Om Films banner, Aniston’s Echo Films, and Barbakow.

Amazon landed the untitled comedy after a bidding war between several studios and streamers.

“Palm Springs” filmmaker Max Barbakow will write and direct the movie. The comedy is based on his original pitch.

Aside from its marquee talent and financiers, there’s little to nothing else known about the film — including a title or logline.

The appetite for a two-hander star vehicle comes after the box office success of "Ticket to Paradise", the comedy that re-teamed Roberts with George Clooney. For Amazon’s Jennifer Salke and Head of Movies Julie Rapaport, this signals an uptick in Amazon stepping up to bolster its film slate.

Amazon’s upcoming movie slate includes the documentary “Judy Blume Forever” as well as “Somebody I Used to Know”, a romantic comedy directed by Dave Franco and starring Alison Brie and Jay Ellis. The former will be released on April 21, while the latter debuts on the streamer on Feb. 10, in time for Valentine’s Day.
