Julia Roberts is teaming up with director Luca Guadagnino on “After the Hunt,” a thriller set at Amazon MGM.
According to the official logline, the movie follows Roberts as "A college professor who finds herself at a personal and professional crossroads when a star pupil levels an accusation against one of her colleagues
As she navigates the difficult situation, a dark secret from her own past threatens to come to light.” Additional cast members will be announced at a later date."
First-time screenwriter Nora Garrett wrote the script and will executive produce with Karen Lunder for Imagine Entertainment.
Imagine Entertainment executives Brian Grazer and Allan Mandelbaum are producing the pic with Guadagnino on behalf of his company Frenesy.
Roberts, who ruled the box office in the ’90s with romantic comedies like “Pretty Woman,” “Notting Hill” and “My Best Friend’s Wedding,” most recently led the cast of Netflix’s post-apocalyptic thriller “Leave the World Behind.”
