Jordan kicked off its COVID-19 vaccination program yesterday, as the first shipment of the Chinese vaccine “Sinopharm”, and the German-American vaccine “Pfizer-BioNTech” arrived in the country.
The Jordanian Minister of Health Nazir Obeidat had previously made it clear that the national vaccination program takes into account the major priorities, affirming that they will target groups that most affected by the virus, including the elderly who suffer from chronic diseases, and the medical staff.
Obeidat stated that Jordan has ordered one million doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech novel coronavirus vaccine.
Jordan has recorded 289,748 cases of the Covid-19 disease, including 3,778 deaths, and the numbers continue to rise daily.
